The environment in which we live, work and play matters to us and us such we are keen to participate in making it a better place. We choose to support charities that have a positive effect on peoples lives, here we record some of the activities we have supported recently...
Flower Power
On a beautiful October morning we took some time out to brighten up the baskets at 'We Are Beams' a local charity based in Hextable, Kent. The baskets they had needed a little attention to brighten up their entrance. We had fun doing it and hope that it brings a smile to the faces of all that attend whether working, staying or just visiting for the day. We look forward to doing some further volunteering in the garden soon.
Place your Bets and Giddy Up...
October took us to We are Beams charity race night attended by the Mayor of Dartford, we sponsored a race and a horse, but we didn't get lucky at the races!! We had a fabulous time, a great event for all the family, our guests even managed to win the 1st prize in the raffle so not all was lost!! The most important thing was money raised to helping this wonderful charity, making a difference to the lives of disabled children, young people and their families.
The Great Gatsby
An annual ball organised in favour of The British Heart Foundation, themed 'Great Gatsby', this is the 3rd year we have attended, the 2nd year sponsoring a table as 'Highbanks', a brilliant event which this year raised in excess of £10,000 - we are very proud to be associated with this amazing event with so many great volunteers and sponsors participating for such an important cause and one that is close to our hearts.
